At the end of a productive pre-summer weekend, we decided to go out as a family and hit the park and the ice cream parlour!
What a gorgeous night!
While there, we noted how much we love that our kids are still 'kids' if you know what I mean!? (Well, even Jeff is still a kid at heart really:)) But, the point is, our kids hop out of the car at a park and just run.... they make up imagination games, chase each other, climb on whatever they can, seek out the swings and go anywhere that isn't on the path! Let it last as long as possible! :)
We were surprised to see the amount of damage done by the thunderstorm on Saturday. So many trees were hit. Jeff and I noted that a major portion of a tree came down right beside the picnic tables we had just been at on Friday 'date night'. What a difference a day can make eh?
Anyways, the ice cream was a hit and we discovered where we could bring our canoe to on the canal to enjoy some easygoing flat water paddling someday.
