Thanks to Karen McKay's website, www.guelphkids.com we found out about a free pottery activity at the Elora Centre for the Arts. Karen's website provides a selection of kid/family friendly activities local to Guelph, Ontario and the surrounding areas on a weekly basis. Quite honestly, it's wonderful to have this resource whereby someone has already done all the footwork! You just have to pick the event!
I love Elora and now this is just one more reason to go there in a list of many. The interns were friendly and helpful and we found lots of information on other upcoming events.
It was interesting for me to observe how at ease the boys were with the tools and to note the tools they felt were missing based on their previous pottery classes. They made a flower, gun, knife and a snail. What does that tell you about current interests?!
A wonderful rainy day activity to do with the Platt family! I'm sure we'll go back sometime.
