Yesterday, I read somewhere that everyone should feel special on St. Valentine's Day. Well, we all certainly did! Many a message of love from kids to parents and parents to kids, friends to friends, family members to family members were delivered and received. Treats, games and flowers were enjoyed. Jeff's mom made an awesome banana cake for us! Delicious. My mom brought Valentine's, flowers and a lemon loaf for Jeff! :) Thanks ladies! We spent the morning at the Magna Center's gymnasium and track playing with the boyz and having fun exercising. Can you imagine? :) Jeff kindly let me indulge in 'chick' flicks at Blockbuster and gave me a beautiful white bouquet from my favourite flower store! Ahhhh the love. Nice pick-me-ups for this frigid month of February. We were also warmed up by a visit with Nan and Great and so thankful to be able to spend time with them on this day of love!
*Cute little note about Matt making Valentine's cards that I don't want to forget.... Matt creatively made MANY valentine cards this year. He picked his colours, words and decorations carefully. One thing that was really sweet was that he chose some gingham/checkered/striped hearts for the Grandpas and for Great Grandpa Gault as he felt they would appreciate 'the old fashioned' look!!! :) That they did Matt, that they did. :)
