This post shares pics from the spring gathering of ARGH at Roan Mountain State Park in Tennessee!
Thanks to Lisa for finding it! We are so glad we went as many great memories were made that will last a lifetime!
At ARGH, everyone shares their passions with one another. At ARGH, everyone is welcome. At ARGH, everyone can be themselves. At ARGH, everyone celebrates a life of learning, loving and caring for ourselves and each other.
We can look back and remember: -meeting new people with shared viewpoints and interests, archery in our backyards, coffee on covered porches while swaying in rocking chairs, cozy fires by the woodstove, finding orange salamanders, many grazing deer sightings, flowering trees growing out of rock at the roadside, photo hiking, gale force winds at Carver's Gap, nerf gun (otherwise known as projectile hurlers around here:) battles and strategizing, the suspension bridge/animals/fudge and incredible views at Grandfather Mountain in North Carolina, Lisa's hot butter tarts right out of the oven, fishing in the creek, muddy boots, learning the Thriller dance, knitting, beading, more dancing, climbing rocks and mountainsides, hauling our gear in wagons up to our cabins, laughing with other mothers and our close friends, euchre games, the multitude of cool unschooling bumper stickers on the backs of cars in the parking lot, playing at the park, family walks, a rest under a tree on a warm and sunny afternoon with strawberries and ice cream-ahhhhh.... plus many more 'good stuff' and life changing memories!
We felt very welcomed during this event and would definitely consider going back sometime in the future!
