on this day, the sun was shining and we all enjoyed park hopping in newmarket at bayview park and all kids park (dinosaur park).

turns out this will be our last full wednesday with daniel for a while. at the time, i didn't realize it and now that i do, it makes me a little sad. but, i know we will see him often and have a lot more fun together in the future. :)

return to the farm

yesterday, we enjoyed a wonderful day at moondance organic gardens.
no surprise as everyday is a wonderful day at the farm!

the sun was shining and lots of friends new and old came out to play.

i kept the 2 and a half week old chicks a surprise for the boys. they were so soft and fuzzy!

the greenhouse was already filled with seedlings, plants and herbs well on their way. o so yummy!

we helped to tidy up debris that had blown onto the property, planted bulbs, met new farm friends, harvested and washed many many sweet carrots that had survived the winter well. of course the trampoline, treehouse, muck and potluck lunch were all highlights.

we brought home lettuce, carrots, camomile and lemon balm. last night i drained my cup fast of a long awaited cup of lemon balm tea. delicious! a great relaxing herbal tea!

all in all a perfect day! we didn't leave until late in the afternoon.
dirty knees and nails-
muddy boots and sun-kissed faces. :)

matt and mommy time

yesterday, matt requested time alone with me.
i'm not quite sure what sparked the need and focus on an outing just for two, but i could tell it was important to him and off we went.
matt packed a bag with snacks, his camera and a mini-football. he suggested i bring my camera too.
so, we played catch, went on swings and checked out the tadpoles and water spiders at the lake.
afterwards matt asked me what i wanted to do next. i said i wanted to go for a walk. matt was ready to go home or go and get lemonade and freezies at the store for his brothers. he thought about it for a moment and said, 'hey, i know what we can do, we can do something that makes us both happy. i'll go for a walk with you. i don't mind. and then we can do what i want to do.'

ahhh, the joys of these little moments. moments i want to hold onto forever. i am so grateful that my passion for photography will help me to appreciate, document and capture these times both in the present and in the future.

another art gallery visit

well, we MuSt see aRt in nature.

because each time we've gone to the art gallery, we've ended up with some pictures like these. the kids, outdoors, exploring and walking around the conservation area.

i can't believe i haven't posted these shots yet. i truly enjoyed this day with our friends and nephew - and the images that came from it.

can't wait to go back and see how it looks with more greenery! maybe this time, we'll go inside and see some of the art that reflects nature this time!

new bikes!

what's spring without a new bike?

josh and matt needed new bikes as their old ones were toast... i mean falling apart, brakes don't work, tires worn, toast!
well, let's say, well-used!
anyways, just before easter, we had fun picking out bikes with them. thanks to nan and great for their contributions to the new wheels!

Springtime Frolicking with Friends

Well, spring has truly sprung with a mixture of sun and rain which is the perfect recipe for boots, hikes and any excuse to wield a stick!
We have been spending time with friends outdoors as much as possible. These pics are from Rattlesnake Point Conservation Area in Milton where we enjoyed a leisurely day with the Platt family.
