We have had a week with some sunny days and workable soil, so we decided to start on the garden-beds.
The previous owner did not tend to the gardens for some time before we got here, so there are about a kazillion weeds! It will be quite a process to get rid of them at this point.
The boys are eager however, so it felt good to weed out three of the beds and clean up the perimeter. They planted strawberries, raspberries and some carrots.
I got some flowers to add colour and some fragrance to the beds at the front ... early, yes-necessary-yes! :)
We will have to work together to get the weeds out of the rest of the raised beds-but the weather has turned cold and windy-let's hope it warms up more- very soon!
