You must not lose faith in humanity.
Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty,
the ocean does not become dirty.

Our family has recently befriended a lovely lady named Kyle and her 7 pugs! Kyle is one of those people who has an infectious, sincere and fun-loving energy about her. Kyle has consistently expressed a genuine interest in the children especially and they all love her!
Not only is Kyle a special lady, she has some amazing talents and awesome gymnastics equipment. She invited the kids to play with her rolling donut and donut hole one day and the kids had a blast. While playing, we all found Kyle's enthusiasm rather contagious and her gentle encouragement gave the kids courage to attempt new things.
Kyle and the kids have gone for many walks with the dogs and of course Willow has new friends now too. They especially loved splashing in the water together. The kids also had the pleasure of meeting Lance, Kyle's Boa Constrictor! EEk...Of course they loved him and all got to hold him.
Recently, she invited the children to enjoy the full array of her equipment at a local park prior to a birthday party she was working. All the kids helped her set up and had fun jumping, running and rolling. We learned that Kyle has quite a history with gymnastics. In 1974, she was the National Balance Beam Champion. During the same year, she was a Silver Medalist on the balance beam at the World Games. Kyle has also made T.V. appearances on the Johnny Carson Show, ABC Wide World of Sports and The Big Blue Marble among others. Wow!
As our time in this part of California is coming to a close, we think fondly on the truly wonderful people we have met while we were here. People who give of themselves willingly without expectations... sharing directions, information, a smile, a friendly comment or observation, a bike ride, a craft, an email address or a pat on the back....
