Mini Journal Entry

A splash in the water, the sound of air blowing...and low and behold there is a seal swimming and fishing for food as Jeff and me take Willow for a walk around the inlet on the property.... how neat is that! 

After watching him for a while, we could see that he is a fast swimmer; adept at catching fish and that if we wanted to see where he was next, all we had to do was watch the pelican. The pelican followed the seal around to try to get a free meal ticket. He banked in on it too... the seal would swing the fish in the air and the pelican would catch it. Eventually, the seal got smart and stayed under water longer and eluded the bird. 

We hope to see him again soon, next time when the kids are with us.
